One of the Best Taverns I’ve Ever Visited – Taverna Rota
Taverna Rota is truly one of the best restaurants I’ve ever had the pleasure of dining at. The food here is simply outstanding – every dish we tried was full of authentic Greek flavor, fresh ingredients, and made with so much love and care. It’s the kind of place where you can taste the tradition in every bite.
The menu offers a wide variety of classic Greek dishes, and everything is cooked to perfection. Whether you’re a fan of grilled meats, seafood, or traditional vegetarian dishes, there’s something here for everyone. The portions are generous, the presentation is beautiful, and the flavors are unforgettable.
On top of the incredible food, the location is absolutely stunning. The taverna is set in a charming spot with beautiful surroundings, which adds so much to the overall experience. The atmosphere is warm, relaxed, and inviting – perfect for a leisurely lunch or a romantic dinner.

A two in one restaurant you get excellent reek food and a whole range of excellent eastern food, lie lachmatzun, a variety of kebabs pastourma pie and more. The kebabs are on another level taste wise. Friendly service, reasonably priced. I mean, and those who know will understand, where else do you get dolmades freshly made and not out of a tin? Definitely worth a visit.

Very good, traditional greek dishes. We arrived on Poros from the ferry from Athensand went straight for lunch here with our friends. We started a week of sailing with a nice lunch here, and came back after our sailing. A great place to come and come back to. Recommended.

This was a perfect lunch spot in the middle of town. Not busy and the service was good. There were so many great grilled and roasted meats to choose from, all wrapped in delicious pita. The beer was cold and the setting is awesome.

We spent wonderful time with friends! The food and wine were very delicious. We highly recommend grilled fish and seafood, salads and desserts! We had the pleasure of dining at this incredible restaurant and I must say, we were absolutely blown away by the experience. Thank you Christo, we appreciate your warm attitude ❤️

Incredible food for a good price. MUST TRY: Feta wrapped in filo with honey, absolutely delicious. The whole staff was very kind and helped us choose from their grand selection of dishes. Beautiful oceanfront view, a hidden gem.

Food was excellent - tourist prices understandably - but well worth it for high standard and quality ingredients. Service was lovely too. We shared the Stifaldo, Cretan salad, fried zucchini sticks, and baked potato + drinks.

A delicious and generous serving - we had a gyros pita and a lachmatzoun with beef at the snack left door (next to the restaurant). Noise from the ferry at times. Great value!

What an outstanding place to dine .. ambience and exceptional food!! Authentic greek dishes at a very high standard!! This is an absolute must when visiting the island of poros, you will not be disappointed! I cannot rate it enough.
